Things You Need To Know About Mens Shoes Style

Until a couple of seasons ago we British had relatively few fashion choices to make when it came to autumn footwear. Either we wore knee high boots, ankle boots or something resembling a cavalier’s thigh high boot from the 17th century. Now, however, there is a much wider variety of footwear on offer to see us through the colder months.

Take the shoe boot, for instance. This strange, quirky little hybrid came into being last winter, borne of some designer’s fervent desire for a third way through the murky territory of early spring footwear. Despite initial scepticism, the shoe boot took off and has now become as much of a fashion staple as skinny jeans or oversized scarves.

Then there’s the platform shoe. Once believed to have become extinct when the clock struck midnight on New Year’s Eve 1979, the platform has now risen appropriately from the shoe yard dead and is returning to wreak havoc on all who scorned it. Laugh if you dare for instance at the black platform court shoes seen adorning the windows of our high street fashion stores. Mock the so–called dainty platform wedges whilst you can. My money’s on a peak at Halloween time.

Another most peculiar and unusual shoe trend this season is the boot. It is here that I must confess to a penchant for these particular boots. They are after all rather on trend at the moment, and it’s no surprise. The boots are cropping up everywhere; the antidote to the ridiculous heel of the platform shoe. You’ll find them in the grunge scene, the college look and in the dark floral trend, as well as all over the alternative fashion scene. Reminiscent of the 1960s mod style, these boots have chunky wide heels that are really comfortable to walk in.

I own two pairs of the shoes; the first is a pair of leather shoes with a wedged heel which look great under smart black trousers, with a red shirt that matches them. Wearing them makes me feel stylish, smart and comfortable all day. I also have a pair of black shoes, definitely my favourite. They’re so versatile and also manage to keep my feet warm (no mean feat, pardon the pun). Shoes are in trend these days , so wearing pair of leather shoes will maintain a slimline ensemble and keep your slim fit relevant in cooler months. Experiment with colours and materials to find the pair that suit your look the most. If you are looking for anything eye-catching leather shoes are there for you.
